Wudang Mountain with Yangtze River Experience

Chongqing Zoo

The daily tour starts with a visit to the Chongqing Zoo and the Panda Room located there. It is a unique opportunity to see many exotic animals and the highlight is the visit to the Panda bears. There are both Giant and Red Pandas there and it is a site that is pretty rare anywhere in the world. The next stop is a Chongqing People's Congress Hall. This is a huge traditional style building that is very interesting because of its architecture. Additionally, there is a huge square in front of it and it offers some really interesting sites since many of the locals come here to relax and exercise. After that the tour goes to the Ciqikou Old Town. This is a partially restored part of the city that preserved many of the features that were once characteristic to all of the China. These old streets and small wooden houses still have a scent of the times past upon them. It is also a great opportunity to shop for souvenirs. The next stop is the Three Gorges Museum. This is a museum that is dedicated to the dam and the Yangtze River, but it also has some items that are showing the Chinese history. As most of the museums in the world it is definitely worth seeing. The last scenic spot of the day is the Old resident area of Chongqing. Here you can see the houses as they were hundreds of years ago along the Yangtze River. The lunch will be served at the local restaurant and after that you will be boarded on the ship that will take you to your cruise. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

This day is all about cruising on the river and sightseeing while sailing. There is a shore excursion to Shibaozhai predicted though. It is a fortress on a high cliff and it was made in 1750. Nowadays it looks quite different from the original. It has 12 stores and each of them is dedicated to the famous general, a poet or a scholar from the Three Kingdoms Period. There is also an option of visiting Fengdu Ghost City but it is not mandatory. The welcoming banquet and a dancing party are also in today’s itinerary. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and a Dinner

Shennong Stream

After passing through two of the great gorges, there is a shore visit to the Shennong Stream predicted. It is one of the Yangtze’s tributaries and it looks really nice and beautiful. It is a part of the unspoiled nature and stretching your legs will be nice for a change. There is also an option of visiting the White Emperor City, but this is also not mandatory. The crew performance is also within the daily itinerary. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and a Dinner

Three Gorges Dam

This is the day when your cruise ends. The only scenic spot of the day is a famous Three Gorges dam. This is the largest construction of this type ever made by human hands and Chinese people are very proud on it. Its construction took 15 years from 1994 top 2009 when it became fully operational and nowadays you may visit it and make some really memorable photos there. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Dinner

Taichi

The daily tour today will include sites to see on the Mount Wudang. It is one of the most beautiful mountains in all of the China and it is famous for its Taoist monasteries. The famous calligrapher from the Northern Song Dynasty Period called Mi Fu referred to this mountain as the place closest to heavens. If it is considered how beautiful this place is, this is definitely not an understatement. The first thing to be seen there is the Jindian Temple. It is located on a very top of the mountain and it is the biggest construction made out of bronze. It was first built in 1416 and it is under the protection of the state since 1961. The second place to visit is the Nanyan Temple. It is a huge Taoist temple and it is also considered to be of a great cultural value. It is some 600 years old and is also under the protection of the state. Additionally, it provides the best spot to see the mountain and enjoy the unique beauty of this place. This day is predicted for transportation from Wudang Shan to Wuhan. The trip will be made by train and there are no other activities predicted which leaves you some time to use as you wish. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

This is the day of the departure. You will be transferred to the airport to catch a flight back home just after the breakfast. Meals: Breakfast
