Day1

Hong Kong Arrival

This day is predicted for coming in to the city of Hong Kong. You will be met by the guide on the airport and taken to your hotel. No other activities are predicted.

After breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel. First stop is Victoria Peak which features the 112 year old Peak Tram. It is regarded as Hong Kong's most unusual building, The Peak Tower. Next stop is Aberdeen Harbor which is home to hundreds of people living on fishing junks. If you would like close up look at this unusual way of life, you can take a sampan ride (US$10-12). Last one is Repulse Bay. It is one of Hong Kong's most exclusive residential areas.

Day3

Hong Kong to Guilin by Flight.

Upon your arrival, our guide will pick you up at the arrival hall of the airport with holding your name sign. Our guide and driver will take you to your hotel in Guilin. The guide will hand you a free CH cell phone package which includes free rental for the cell phone and SIM card and at least 30 free minutes, delivery and collection in China. Return the phone to your guide when you depart. Dinner is not included. Our guide can give you suggestions.

Day4

Guilin

One day tour from Guilin to Yangshu by take Li River cruise. After breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel. Driving from hotel to the pier needs about 40 minutes. Our guide will accompany you on the boat. Li River presents one of the finest excursions on your tour of China. The journey downstream to Yangshuo offers 70km of breathtaking scenery. You will also have a chance to visit the Yangshuo countryside by taking a car.

Day5

Guilin to Chongqing by Flight.

This day is reserved for seeing some of the most interesting Guilin scenic spots and it is certain that you will enjoy it a lot. The first stop of the day is the Reed Flute Cave. This is the biggest cave in Guilin and it looks rather impressive. There are all sorts of the cave attractions that can be seen there. Be sure to watch your steps since these places can be slippery sometimes. The next stop is even more interesting and it was long considered to be the major landmark of the city. Namely, the Elephant Trunk Hill looks exactly as an elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk and it is certainly an unusual site to see. After all of this is done you will be transferred to Chongqing by plane. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

Yangtze

Dazu Rock Carvings

Dazu Rock Carvings

This day is reserved for visiting the famous Dazu Grottoes. These grottoes contain over 50 thousand statues and they really look impressive. Since there are so much of them, it is not very likely that you will manage to see them all but the experience will be something really special. After this visit, you will be boarding the ship that will take you to the Yangtze River cruise. The dinner is not included so it is a good idea to buy some snacks before boarding the ship. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

Day7

Yangtze

--Shibaozhai, literally means Stone Treasure Fortress, Located in Zhong County, it was first built in Qing Dynasty in 1750. Shibaozhai is one historic site that will look much different in 2009. The wooden architecture stands on the riverside. It is built by catch upon a rectangular rock with sheer cliffs with a height of 56 meters and 12 stories. And every floor of the wooden structure contains interesting artifacts. Each of the 12 floors of Shibaozhai is dedicated to a famous general of the Three Kingdoms period (220-265AD), a local scholar or a renowned Chinese poet.

Yangtze

--Taichi exercise.
Passes through the 1st gorge--Qutang Gorge.
Passes through the 2cd gorge---Wu Gorge.
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream(1:30pm-5:30pm). You have the option of visiting White Emperor City(RMB290 per person).

Sails through the 5-steps Ship locks.
Shennong Stream is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. The stream races past large and small karst caves, flocks of swallows, sheer cliffs, deep gorges, waterfalls, three-colored springs, rapids, the ancient plank path, a suspended coffin in the cliff, groups of ancient tombs and marvelous karst formations.

Day9

Yichang to Shanghai

--Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam Site. Arrive in Yichang at 1:00pm.
Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction has been completed in 2009. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom. The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunities.

Day10

Shanghai

Shanghai is one of the most beautiful and most prosperous cities in China and you will get to see some really amazing things here. The first one is the Shanghai Museum. This place has over 100 thousand of various significant historic artefacts and you will get to see a lot of them there. The next stop is the Yuyuan Garden. This is a classic Chinese garden that has all the elements that make these places so special. Besides that, it is just next to the Yuyuan Market and this place offers some really neat chances for shopping since there are various souvenirs and local snacks available. After that there is a visit to The Bund predicted. This is a quite different part of the Shanghai since all of the buildings are made in the European style. It was once the main artery of commerce in the city and nowadays it is refreshed by some exclusive stores. Urban Planning Exhibition Hall of Shanghai is also on a daily agenda and it offers an insight in to the future of the city. The whole 2nd level of the building is reserved for a scale model of the future city core. The last stop of the day is one of the tallest buildings in the world. The World Financial Centre is a mixed purpose skyscraper and it has the tallest observation platform in the world. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

Shanghai to Beijing by Flight.

Forbidden City

After the morning flight from Shanghai to Beijing, you will get to visit the Summer Palace. This is the place where Chinese Emperors were using for rest and relaxation and it doesn’t fall back behind the Forbidden City in terms of beauty and comfort. It was built in 1153 and further expanded in 1750. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

Day12

Beijing

The first stop of this day is one of the most famous squares in the world. The Tiananmen Square, which literally means The Square of Heavenly Peace, is the place where many important things in Chinese history have happened. it offers various interesting sites to see and it is also the entrance to the Forbidden palace. The Forbidden City was a home to 24 of the Chinese emperors during 500 years. It is one of the architectural masterpieces of the old world and even today it invokes awe in visitors. During the imperial period it was forbidden place where only the emperor and his servants and closest associates were allowed to enter. The final stop of the day is the Hutong. This part of Beijing will show you how really Chinese people live and you will have the chance to visit a local family and to experience ride on the rickshaw. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

Mutianyu Great Wall

Mutianyu Great Wall

This day is reserved for visiting The Great Wall. This is one of the wonders of the old world and that says a lot. It is the largest defensive wall ever built and you will have the chance to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. This section is not so crowded and it provides a great look over the area. The transportation is predicted with the cable car, although you can take a walk to the lift chair and descend this way. Still, there is about an hour of walk to there so it is wise to wear comfortable shoes and to bring some water with you. After the Great Wall, there is a visit to The Temple of Heaven predicted. This place is 4 times bigger than the Forbidden Palace and it was used as the place where the emperors were praying for the good harvest. It looks rather impressive and you will have something to see there. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch
