Lingyin Temple Lingyin Temple is close to the top of the list of spots to visit following closely behind West Lake. It is located beside Feilai Peak which is very near West Lake. The Lingyin Scenery Zone includes Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak.

Over 1600 years ago, an Indian monk arrived in Hangzhou and was impressed by these special peaks. Then he built Lingyin, which means “there were hidden fairies who created the special peaks”. Outside the scenery zone is a large area with restaurants, shops, even Starbucks and KFC. It is a very good area to get outside and stroll amongst the ancient buildings and greenery.

  • Admission: 45 Yuan/person for Lingyin Scenery Zone plus 30 Yuan/person for the temple.
  • Opening Hours: 7:30-17:00
  • Getting there & away: Take Bus NOs 7,807, tourism line NOs 1, 2, 4 and get off at Lingyin Station(灵隐站).
