The cancellations can occur even though they have previously confirmed the reservation made by China Highlights for our customers. Cancellation of a sailing usually occurs 15-30 days before the scheduled date but sometimes might be within 2 days before the sailing.

In the event that a cruise is cancelled we will do everything possible to rebook immediately on another ship, so that inconvenience is minimized. It is possible that an additional expense may be applicable if the available ship is more expensive than that of the original booking. Please be assured that these events are beyond our control but we are here to serve you and will do all in our power to make your trip as smooth as possible.

Tips

Yangtze River Travel highly recommended you to book airport-pier/pier-airport transfers together with the cruise. It will much more convenient for you to get on boat at pier, but it can only be known within 1 or 2 days in advance which dock the boat will be parked at. It will also save your time to catch your flight/train to next destination after cruise.

A visit to some scenic spots requires a steep climb up many steps from the river level to the bank. In Fengdu and White Emperor City, there are many steps lead to mountains at scenic area. A chairlift usually operates at Fengdu which is on your own expense. Not wanting to climb the stair......no problem, stay on the ship and enjoy the scenery from the comfort of a deck chair. Cable cars are available at Chongqing pier which are on your own expense and you can also hire a carrier to carry your luggage when go ashore.

Remember to prevent from sunburn and to keep warm. It can be cold on the deck at night, so a coat is necessary.
