Wuhan Weather
The climate in the area goes from freezing in December, January and February to very hot in the summers. It has four seasons. It is one of China’s “furnace cities” which means it is a city that gets really hot in the summer. The average high in July and August is 32 degrees Celsius or 91 degrees Fahrenheit. This may not seem extremely high, but there is high humidity. It rains the most in June and July and receives about 200 millimeters of precipitation.
Best Time to Visit: Sometimes temperatures reach 35 degrees Celsius or 95 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, and there is heavy rainfall and a problem with smog. In December and January, the average temperatures are about 2 or 4 degrees Celsius. It snows several times a year. But few buildings have indoor heating. The 4 or 5 star hotels do have indoor heating. But to people used to heated buildings or warmer climates, the temperature difference and the cold buildings may be a shock. So it is recommended that if you come in winter, bring a warm coat.
The best months to travel is April and May and September and October. Rainfall is particularly low in September and November.
