Grand Theatre
Located at People’s Square, Shanghai Grand Theater is the landmark of the city. It’s the intersection of the People's Avenue and North Huangpi Road. Shanghai Municipal Government lies to the east.
Built in 1998, Shanghai Grand Theater has one of the largest and best advanced automatic stages in the world. At night, the building looks like a crystal palace. The theater is an area of 11,528 square meters, with 10 stories, two underground, six being the main theatre and the other two above. The Grand Theater houses has three stages: a 1,800-seat main stage for ballets, operas and symphonies, a 600-seat medium theater for chamber orchestras and a small 200-seat auditorium for dramas and fashion shows.

Transportation: Take bus nos. 17, 18, 20, 23, 37, 46, 109, 112 or 123, or subway lines 1, 2 or 8, and get off at People's Square.
