Day1

Shanghai Arrival

Attractions:Airport/Train Station/Port to Hotel Transfer

Our guide and will meet at the airport/train station/port upon your arrival and transfer you to your hotel.

This day is all about arriving in the city of Shanghai. You will be given a cell phone that will be at your disposal during the tour and you have to give it back upon your departure from China.

Day2

Shanghai

Shanghai International Financial Center

The daily tour of the Shanghai starts with the visit to Shanghai World Financial Centre. This is one of the tallest structures in the world and it was finished in 2007. It is a mixed purpose building and that means that there are various shopping malls, apartments and offices in it. It is also famous for its observation platform that is on the height of 474 metres which makes it the tallest in the world. The next stop is a very modern part of the Shanghai called The Bund . Here you will see some interesting buildings made in the western European style and there are also many lively and quite exclusive shops along the way there. Yuyuan Market is just next to the Yuyuan Garden and it is also near the City God Temple. It is a very lively place that is abundant with various goods that can be bought as souvenirs. Also it is an ideal place to feel the pulse of the modern city. After that, the tour visits the Shanghai Museum. This is the biggest, and by many the most important museum in China and it offers you to see the artefacts of art and culture from all of the Chinese history periods. Also, there are some travelling exhibitions there as well and it definitely deserves some time for the visit. The last scenic spot of the day is the Jiangnan Workshop and Silk Shop. Here you will be allowed to see the whole process of creating silk. Also, there is an opportunity to buy some items made out of this fine material and there is no place in the world where you can find the silk of a better quality. The lunch will be served at the Home's Restaurant while the dinner will be served at the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Revolving Restaurant. Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch and a Chinese Dinner

Day3

Shanghai to Yichang to Yangtze

Attractions:Board the ship from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and departs Yichang at night--00:00am.(Dinner is not included),Shikumen

Shikumen

Most of the Shanghais people were born and grown up in the Shikumen style buildings. The term means literally the stone gate. The housing style greatly changed since 1990’s but these Shikumens are now turned in to bars and cafes so you will have the chance to see how the Shanghai once looked like. The lunch is served at the Xi's Garden and you may enjoy some original local dishes there. After this the tour goes to the cruise ship that will take you to the cruise trip on the Yangtze River. Day4

Yangtze

Attractions:Passes though the 1st Gorge----Xiling Gorge Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site. Passes though the 5-steps ship locks. Captain’s Welcome Banquet.

Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam has been completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom.The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunities.After passing through the Xiling Gorge and marvellous sites you will be able to see there, the tour goes to the famous Three Gorges Dam. This magnificent structure is the greatest of its kind in the world and was one of the technologically and constructional most demanding endeavours in history. It was finished in 2003 but it became fully operational only in 2009. Now the top levels of it are open for visitors and you can enjoy the view from it, as well as taking pictures to capture the moment. After that the ship goes through a 5 step ship lock and the cruise continues. Meals: Chinese Lunch and a Chinese Dinner

Day5

Yangtze

Attractions:Shore excursion to Shennong Stream(8:00-12:30).You have the option of visiting White Emperor City(RMB260 per person). Passes though the 2nd gorge--Wu gorge. Passes though the 3rd gorge--Qutang. Crew performance.

Shennong Stream is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. The stream races past large and small karst caves, flocks of swallows, sheer cliffs, deep gorges, waterfalls, three-colored springs, rapids, the ancient plank path, a suspended coffin in the cliff, groups of ancient tombs and marvelous karst formations.After passing through the other two gorges on the Yangtze River, there is a shore visit to the Shennong Stream predicted. This small river is very colourful and lively and it provides an opportunity to see from close one of the nicest landscapes in China. There is also an option of visiting the White Emperor City, but it costs additional RMB 260 per person. Meals: Breakfast, Chinese lunch and a Chinese Dinner

Day6

Yangtze

Attractions:Shore excurison to Fengdu Ghost City(8:30am-10:30am). Captain’s Farewell Banquet. Talent Show Party in Ballroom.

Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats. Tips: 1.There are about 100 steps from the river to the town. 2.A cable car is available ride to the top of the hill. The cable car is not included in the tour cost. The cost is RMB20/ per person round trip. On this day, along with the Captain's farewell banquet and a Party, there is also a visit to one of the most interesting places in China predicted. namely, the city of Fengdu is a genuine ghost city. There is not a single living person there and the only visitors are those who are professionally engaged there. Fengdu is the place for the afterlife of the wicked and the belief in this is still pretty strong in China. There are some 100 steps to the city and there is also an option of paying a bit extra and using a cable car. Meals: Breakfast, Chinese lunch and a Chinese Dinner

Chongqing to Chongqing to Lijiang

Attractions:Arrives in Chongqing at 9:00am.,Panda Room in Chongqing Zoo,Ciqikou Old Town

Chongqing Zoo

During this day you will have the unique opportunity to visit the Chongqing Zoo and its famous Panda Room. Besides giant and Lesser Pandas and their cubs, you can also see some other pretty rare and very interesting species there. After that, you will be visiting Ciqikou Old Town. This is a partially restored old part of the city and it is very pleasing to the eye in all possible terms. Visiting this lively place with the scent of old times upon it will be one of the most interesting experiences. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch

Attractions:Baisha Murals at Baisha Village,The Jade Dragon Mountain (with Large Cable Car from Ganhaizi),Lijiang Ancient Town

Baisha Village Murals

This day is predicted for visiting the Lijiang city and the tour starts with the Baisha Village. This is one of the villages inhabited by the Naxi minority. It is so special because of its long murals which depict many historic scenes connected to the Naxi, Tibet and Han. It also combines influences of the Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. After this village, the tour goes to the Lijiang Ancient Town. It is one of the true gems amongst the cities as it is one of the rarest and best preserved minority cities in China. It is quite crowded during the day and evening so the early morning is the best time for an easy visit. The last stop of the day is The Jade Dragon Mountain. This lovely mountain is over 5500 metres high and it has some 13 peaks. It looks simply marvellous and is a real eye opener. There is an option of going on the mountain by using cable car and it is advised to walk slowly and wear warm clothes when going there. The day ends with the lunch at the Naxi family cafe where you will be served a traditional Naxi dishes. Meals: Breakfast and a lunch

Attractions:Shuhe ancient town

Shuhe Old Town

The first and the only stop of the day is the Shuhe ancient town. It is also known under the name of Longquan Village and it is a home to one of the minority groups. It looks like it is frozen in time and it is one of the most peaceful places in all of the China. The lunch will be served at Buon Appetito Restaurant. The main offer is the Italian food but there is an option of a Chinese food as well. Meals: Breakfast and a Lunch
